ABOUT

AWNY is a textile artist and designer based in Ireland. She is a graduate from the Fashion and Textiles for Product and Costume course at Limerick School of Art and Design. Her graduate collection 'Abyss' is inspired by a painting called 'Deluge' by Anne Louis Girodet. In the painting a father is desperately trying to save his family from a flood. The collection reflects his emotional turmoil and the struggle he is faced with. Her most recent collection 'Abyss R-T-W' is following the same theme in a more ready to wear collection. Using custom made digital prints and hand knotted macrame AWNY tells a story of tension through textiles.

Her garments are designed and made in Ireland.
